This One Word Will Change Your Life
My word for 2020 was MAGIC. This came at an important time in my life after leaving a 18-year career to pursue a new passion as a visual artist & photographer. The word, MAGIC fused into the lexicon of the business, website and communication. My emails ended with “Let’s make magic”.
Magic was in the air and it started to manifest great things, including an amazing team of people and sponsors. I'll never forget needing a better studio camera, and the latest Canon EOS R camera magically arriving at my house after they had seen my work. That's Magic! Every client that left our studio began to experience magical changes in their lives, attracting new and exciting opportunities in their business.

Word of the Year
I first heard about the WORD for the year from futures strategist and best-selling author John Sanei. John talks about how important intentionality is to achieving success and frequently asks, “What is your highest excitement?" In other words, what do you really want to be doing? Once we know this answer, having a single, distilled word focuses us on the prize. Having a word for the year is a powerful reminder of the direction we'd like to follow on our 365-day journey. With this word in mind, making decisions becomes clearer, and success begins to manifest itself.
Leaders and CEO’s have found that when their word is visualised with an image of themselves, it becomes a powerful magnet for attracting the things they really want in their business.

In this photoshoot, we visualised John’s word – EXPANSIVE, a year where he was expanding his reach and becoming more global. The results:
* John’s income increased internationally by 80%
* John shared a stage with international greats including Simon Sinek (Start with Why), Yuval Harari (Sapiens) and Robin Sharma (The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari)
* It established John with the worlds best-speaking bureau in London

For 2021 John’s word is Reinvention. John says, “While the world is in lockdown and we all still unsure of what’s next, what could be better than taking the time to reinvent as many parts of our lives as possible?”
We helped him create the desktop wallpaper, seen above as a blueprint for the road ahead (Reinvention) with the intention that it keeps John in flow with what matters most.
Words are so important. The language we speak creates our reality.
How to Find Your Word
4 Questions that will uncover your word for 2021
1. What is the SINGLE most exciting (and uncomfortable) work you will PERSONALLY spend your time on over the next year?
2. How will you know when you have been successful?
3. What are you hoping this success will lead to?
4. How would you describe the above vision for yourself in ONE word?
An Example
What is the SINGLE most exciting (and uncomfortable) work you will PERSONALLY spend your time on over the next year? I will spend time learning to sing and my goal is to do a cover version of Adele's, 'Someone like you' on YouTube.
How will you know when you have been successful? I'll know I’m successful when I get 10,000 views and 1000 thumbs-ups.
What are you hoping this success will lead to? I’m hoping this will lead to a record deal.
How would you describe the above vision for yourself in ONE word? MELODY
Once you've locked in your WORD, make it visible. Print it on your wall where you work. Add it to your phone or computer background. The more you see it, the more it becomes a reminder of what your mission is. And then watch as amazing things start to happen.
